New John Deere marine diesel engines
John Deere recently announced five new PowerTech™ marine diesel engines: the 6068AFM75, 6090SFM75, 6135SFM75 and the HazLoc 6081HFH70 and 6081AFH75 engines. All are six-cylinder, electronically controlled, turbocharged and aftercooled marine engines that meet EPA marine Tier 2 and EU emissions requirements and are MARPOL Annex VI compliant.
PowerTech 6068AFM75
The PowerTech 6068AFM75 has 6.8L of displacement and boasts up to 256 kW (330 hp). It delivers high horsepower in a small package and offers more flexibility in this popular power range. Vertical fuel injectors provide clean burning for lower emissions and improved fuel economy.
PowerTech HazLoc 6081HFH70 and 6081AFH75
The PowerTech HazLoc 6081HFH70 and 6081AFH75 diesel engines meet Class 1, Division 1 (Zone 1) weather-deck requirements for electronics as directed by the United States Coast Guard. The PowerTech 6081HFH70 has 8.1L of displacement and offers up to 246 kW (325 hp) at 2100 rpm. The PowerTech 6081AFH75 also has 8.1L of displacement and offers up to 280 kW (375 hp) at 2400 rpm. A typical use for these engines is in marine auxiliary applications such as cargo pumping for transferring chemical and petroleum products.
PowerTech 6090SFM75
The PowerTech 6090SFM75 has 9.0L of displacement, offers up to 373 kW (500 hp) and features side or front service locations. High torque at low-rated speeds provides excellent vessel control and maneuvering. This engine is an excellent choice for cruisers, trawler yachts, houseboats and other recreational applications.
PowerTech 6135SFM75
The PowerTech 6135SFM75 marine diesel engine is the newest and most powerful addition to the John Deere lineup with up to 559 kW (750 hp) and 13.5L of displacement. High torque at low-rated speeds provides excellent vessel control and maneuvering. This engine is especially suited for sportfishing boats.
